MUTTNIK PRESENTS : THE RISING SUN
A playlist made for my son before he was born in 2020. All about the sun and stars being born.
BACK TO BASICS
Not the club, the mindset. Sometimes things just don't work out and sometimes they do or find a way in the end, it's always good to have a relationship playlist for the ladies ( and gents! ) Can't do mixes at the min but can do playlists, hope you enjoy it. Hit Shuffle!
BREAKING OUT
A selection of tracks I selected to help me through a bit of turbulence and get me out the other side. Play it in order as it's supposed to be like that. Hope it brings you as much as it did me in making it through rough times.
A NEW DAWN
When I slip into an episode the only thing that helps keeping me going without slipping is music, I make playlists to help with the turbelence and spend a lot of time on my own with no external stressors which inevitably make me worse. This is often why I run away ( I know Europe is a bit extreme ) not because I'm going crazy but because I'm trying not to go crazy and the stress raises cortisol levels which in turn bring me unbearable phantom pain in my legs and feet, it's like the worst pain ever. It keeps me going as long as it can or till I run out of money and end up in hospital, that's the BiPolar tax ( we'll talk about the ADHD tax another day ) that comes with the territory.
Main thing is, I've stayed on home soil, in the local community, with my local mental health team and amazing friends on standby. THIS IS REAL PROGRESS!
This is the playlist I started 3 weeks ago, a lot more chilled with the odd house/techno record but on the whole total music for the mind and music I love, thought I'd share it. Hit shuffle!
RON TRENT @ PHONOX, LONDON
Playlist gathered by Si Finnegan from everyone that went to check out Ron Trent in Phonox, London a few years back, there's some absolute gold amonst this collection, actually the last time I went to an event I think.
The Brotherhood
A little playlist mix I did to help me get through tough times in hospital over the years, meant to be listened to in the correct order to feel like a DJ Mix as you don't decks in Psych wards unfortunately. Starts off chilled, then moves towards a positive finish to get you in the mood for the day. Named The Brotherhood because a load of Muslim guys were helping me through a tough time on the ward.
This Dog's Balearic
Balearic playlist from when I was asked to play Pikes Hotel a few years back and the rules were no house or techno so had to think outside the box and did some serious listening to music over a whole summer! Thoroughly enjoyed putting this together.
