This is the best mix I've ever done and it was done 6 years ago, my mind was finally free of all my problems and I was like now I'm ready then my wife went crazy for no reason at all and accused me of being manic. I wasn't manic I was ready AT LAST! It was 6 years ago and is full of emotion from dealing with what the fuck was going down with my wife. So, I was like fuck this - I'll house you! Ripped all the tunes of Spotify and went to Pirate DJ Studios in Manchester at 6am and did it one take - it was so much fun! Lost myself completely in the music...

I AM SOLOMUN, NO I'M SOLOMUN

I mix I did to promote my I AM Solomun party, at the time he wasn't the world superstar he is now and was just an emerging underground talent so decided to do a mix to showcase his mixes and remix to help promote the party, bit weird looking back but it helped as the party sold out in about 3 hours. Thanks to Alexis for putting me on to him.

STRETFORD DOGS CLUB - K.O.D. ( THE ESSENTIAL MIX ) 

I did this mix at exactly 2 hours long in the hope that one day I get to do an Essential Mix and it's already done. You don't have to be invited to do it - just do one to showcase your talent doesn't have to be on the radio. Think FK did a mix CD called Essential Mix in the 90s/00s ( Need to listen to that again ) I also wanted the mix to come with a message as well. 

KOD means as J.Cole puts it ----

STRETFORD DOGS CLUB - LEAVING PARADISE

Paradise was what I called Mallorca where I lived for 9 years between 2012 and 2019. This mix was for a new journey I was about to embark on. I sold all my possesions apart from crucial ones I needed, took the seats out the back my of Suzuki Jimny and laid down some floorboards for the dogs to be comfortable whilst travelling. I did the mix as a goodbye to the island that embraced me and looked after me, the friends and locals that helped me get over my grief with their amazing love and openness.

Probably one of my favourite gigs I ever because it was the first proper one outside of Manchester, flying on a plane to go and DJ somewhere on a weekend was the stuff I've always dreamed of. The club was amazing as well, proper basement vibes and great up for it scottish crowd. Still friends with people I met that night, was back there a few months later as well.

A TRIBUTE TO PONDEROSA 2024

Back in 2024 I had another setback with my BiPolar/ADHD diagnosis and ended up hospitalised for the whole summer. The recovery from that has been horrendous but I'm finally back in the room after 18 months of long, dark, deep depression.

Anyway, enough of that and back to the music. Have reactivated my Soundcloud and going to release all the mixes and guest mixes over the summer for you to listen to. First one, to my surprise is a mix I don't even remember doing as I did it from hospital in a sensory room on a laptop. It's completely unmixed as I think I just used Spotify to do it.

I was supposed to be playing my favourite venue in Mallorca Ponderosa, where I used to be resident when I lived there. I was due to go back in August of 2024 but due to being hospitalised I couldn't make it so decided to do a tribute mix of what I probably would've played. Enjoy!
