Andy Proctor is a longstanding figure in the UK underground house music scene, best known as the co-founder of the influential Development parties, the I AM Events in Manchester and Liverpool and for his DJ alias, Stretford Dogs Club. Emerging from Manchester’s thriving underground culture in the late 1990s, Andy built a reputation as a DJ, promoter, and party curator, helping shape the city’s deep house landscape through a series of highly regarded events and club nights.

As the driving force behind the legendary Development nights and the I AM parties across the North of England, Andy spent years bringing world-class talent to dancefloors throughout Manchester and Liverpool. His passion for underground music and community-building established him as a respected figure within the scene, creating memorable events that became fixtures in the UK clubbing calendar.

After years of promoting artists he admired, Andy launched Stretford Dogs Club as a platform for his own musical expression. The project quickly gained momentum, leading to regular appearances at Manchester’s iconic Sankeys and numerous venues and festivals across the UK and Europe. His sets, known for their deep, soulful and eclectic sound, have taken him to cities throughout the UK as well as international destinations including Berlin and Croatia, with appearances connected to festivals such as Electric Elephant. Along the way, he has shared line-ups with artists including Theo Parrish, Heidi, Dixon, Jazzanova, Ben Pearce and 6th Borough Project.

Following eight years living in Mallorca, where he held a monthly residency at Cafe Garito, Pacha and became a familiar face within the island’s underground music community, Andy has since returned home to Manchester. Drawing on more than two decades of experience behind the decks and on the dancefloor, he continues to deliver carefully crafted sets that blend deep house, soulful grooves and underground sounds, staying true to the ethos that has defined his journey from the very beginning.

Today, Stretford Dogs Club remains a reflection of Andy’s lifelong dedication to quality music, authentic club culture, and bringing people together through unforgettable musical experiences.
